Bart Bell is a Paris-based artist, composer and sound director working at the intersection of electroacoustic music, spatial sound and artistic research. His practice explores listening, resonance and sonic environments through performances, installations and site-specific works, approaching sound as a material shaped by space, perception and embodied experience.

Moving between music, installation and research, he creates immersive sonic experiences that investigate the relationship between sound, space and perception. His work often combines acoustic resonance, generative systems and real-time interaction, with a focus on gesture, listening and sonic transformation.

Alongside his artistic work, he composes music and designs sound for film and audiovisual projects, considering sound as a structural and narrative element.

He studied engineering (acoustics and signal processing) at ESME Sudria, holds a Master’s degree in music sciences from IRCAM (ATIAM), and trained in sound design and post-production at SSR Manchester.

He develops the Metalophone, a custom instrument producing evolving resonant textures between acoustic vibration and electronic processing. He is also co-founder of the Paris-based collective Krema and leads ECHO, a studio focused on sound direction and sonic identity.
